We are writing to solicit volunteers to serve on a Selection Committee to choose the next Editor-in-Chief of the journal Philosophy, Psychiatry and Psychology (PPP). The current Editor-in-Chief, John Sadler, has announced that he will be stepping down from the position.
The Selection Committee is chosen by the Executive Council of the Association for the Advancement of Philosophy and Psychiatry (AAPP). The full AAPP bylaws for the selection of the Editor-in-Chief of PPP are available here.
To volunteer to serve on the committee, please send an email to both Christian Perring (cperring@yahoo.com) and Phoebe Friesen (phoebe.friesen@mcgill.ca) by July 15, 2023.
In the email, please include 1-3 sentences related to your editorial experiences, connection to the journal, and/or reasons you’d like to volunteer. We encourage those from backgrounds underrepresented in philosophy of psychiatry and medicine to apply, as well as those with experiential expertise related to mental health care.
Please email us with any questions. We recommend that anyone planning to put themselves forward for the Editor-in-Chief position should not serve on the Selection Committee.
